Dear Leona,

Can I suggest you to ask to news:soc.genealogy.french ? This forum is
related to Rootsweb, like this one.
The responsable is the very famous Denis Beauregard. Dedicated to French
and French Canadian
roots. Most of the messages are in English and from Americans like you.

You can also go to Boston library and ask for Blue Drouins books, where you
can have all
Quebec Catholic marriages up to 1935; divided between two colors: one for
bride and one
for bridegrooms. Nevertheless, beware of "dit" names...

Good luck,

Yvonne Dolbec
