Hello, Listers All...
The surnames I'm researching are as follows: GARFIELD, ARTHUR, EMPEY,
LAURSON, and SEAL. The Garfields were from Watertown, Spencer and various
other MA cities. It's the SEAL clan that's the long shot & the one that's
been the toughest to track.
In the extended family most of the men worked for the Fitchburg and then
the B&M Railroad from about 1880 on through 1900. We have them living in
St. Albans, VT, and then Keene, NH, and then all of them seem to have
disappeared about 1902. Since the railroad was prominently situated in MA,
perhaps they moved there. We've hit the proverbial brick wall with this bunch.
Do any of these names ring a bell with someone?
Thanks so much.
