Hello Folks,

Once again I want to thank all of you who helped me so much in determining
where to research in Massachusetts. I also want to thank those folks who
have gone out of their way to look things up for me, actually look for my
gggrandfather, and just provided invaluable help. Sue and Liz especially.

BUT...
On Saturday a friend and fellow searcher told me that the Minnesota
Historical Society had very recently acquired microfilm of all of the MA
vital records books that are available. So on Monday my friend and I spent
the day reading the films for every town. The microfilm was much faster than
the books. And I had a list of the CDs that Sue had checked for me, so I was
able to skip those towns. THANKS SUE!

With the exception of those that are in narrative format, we got through all
of them, and did not find my gggrandfather.

Since this was the purpose of my trip to MA, to scour those books, I am going
to now bypass MA on my trip next month, and head for the NARA and see if I
can track the old geezer down there.
Then next year when I head east I will make it to MA and hopefully have some
more information to find him and his family.
