Subject: [GM-L] USS CONSTITUTION
Date: Wed, 13 Oct 1999 06:08:19 -0400 (EDT)
The USS Constitution also known as Old Ironsides is docked in the
Charlestown Navy Yard near Boston. She is the oldest commissioned naval
ship in the country. There is a museum nearby and you can also take
tours on board Old Ironsides. The USS Constitution is taken out yearly
into the harbor for a turn around. She also was taken out when the tall
ships arrived in Boston.
She is fully seaworthy and is a working ship. Any visitors to Boston
can take the Freedom Trail and evidently get to see her or go directly
to Charlestown and see her.
