No, Jo. I do not feel you are being too sensitive. I have had a similar
experience. I once wrote a poem for a genealogy class I was taking. I called
it "Searching for the Voice in My Heart." My instructor published it in the
May/June Genealogy Bulletin #39. While she was kind enough to give me credit,
someone picked it up, renamed it "The Census Taker" and posted it "author
unknown" on several newsgroups. When I contacted on person as to where he
got the information, he gave me the whole story. He even knew my name but
chose to post it "author unknown" anyway because he thought it was too much
trouble to copy and past my name at the bottom. I felt much like you must
feel. I am sorry this happened to you.
