Rev Peter Hobart: A Puritan, left Hingham, ENG in 1635 with a band of 33
followers and landed at Bare Cove Common, which became Hingham, MA. He was
the first minister in Hingham serving in a simple log meeting house for 44
years [1635-1678].

John Beal: Shoemaker who came from the parish of Hingham, county Norfolk,
England, to Hingham, MA, with his wife and 5 sons, 3 daughters and 2 servants
on the "Diligent" which arrived in Boston 10 August 1638. He had a grant of
land at Hingham, MA, 18 September 1638, 6 acres for a house lot on what is
now South St. He was a shoemaker and admitted as freeman in 1639; was deputy
to the General Court in 1640 & 1659. Freeman 13 March 1639.

Always optimistic--Dave
