Thank you, George, for managing this wonderful list. And thanks to those
terrific folks who answered several requests I made over the last two months.
Because of you, I now have a pile of newspaper clippings -- sent to me by the
head of the historical association in Maynard, Mass.-- detailing the
remarkable life of my great-grandfather, the former police chief of Maynard,
plus other members of my family (the Connors and the Foleys). Thanks to you I
now know the town in Canada where my great grandmother was born (her obituary
was in the clippings) and was able to find her family in the Canadian census.
Thanks to you, I knew exactly where to send for my great-grandparents' death
certificates (and exactly how much money to send!). I'm continually bowled
over by the generosity of my fellow family seekers. Thanks to you all!
