seeking the ancestry of Abigail Covell b. 17 May 1730 at Killingly,Ct.
I beleive it is this Abigail Covell who m. Phineas Parker Jun 1752 at
Oxford,Mass.
Phineas (Aaron,Thomas,John, John) Parker of Cambridge and later Worcester.
Abigail is probably the daughter of Joseph Covell and Hannah(?).
A Joseph Covell was m. 28 Jul 1719 at Killingly to Hannah Lamb.
Hannah Lamb is probably the daughter of Abial Lamb and Hannah Taylor.
Abial Lamb and hannah taylor were m. 4 dec 1699 at framingham,Mass. and
resided for awhile at Oxford,Mass.
The ancstry of Joseph Covell seems to split two ways. One that he is the son
of
Joseph Covell,(James) and Alice Palmer or that of Joseph
Covell(Nathaniel,Nathaniel) and Hannah Bassett.
I picked up this confusion on the Mormon site. Yes - i know its a guide
only.
Is anyone familiar with the Covells at Killingly to say which one was
present or
were both resident ??
I have some dates on this guy - and confusion if he himself married Hannah
Bassett
and his mother was hannah bassett as well.
Or did he marry twice at Killingly to two women ??????
I think he married Hannah Lamb but i do not know which lineage Joseph is of.
The Covells apparently were Cape Cod people originally.
Any help appreciated.
