Subject: [GM-L] John Eliot in Natick, Massachusetts

I grew up in Natick, MA where John Eliot once preached to "the praying
Indians." I went to Eliot School, which was on Eliot Street, not far from
the site where he originally preached. (As you can see, John Eliot was quite
the local hero.) There's a nice little museum in the basement of the library
in South Natick (also on Eliot Street) which has many interesting artifacts
from very early Natick history. There's also a nice little book written
about the Town of Natick, which used to be for sale in the Morse Institute
Library in Natick center. This book had quite a bit of information about
John Eliot's ministry if I recall it correctly. I'm sorry that I don't
remember specific dates or incidents but it seems to me there was quite a
bit of serious, historical info in book. It wasn't just a book for tourists!

I believe there's a web page for Natick and I'd bet there's some info there
about John Eliot.
