Some time ago, I posted to the list searching for info on Thomas, Winifred
and Patrick GATELY. With all the helpful info, leads and suggestions, I
think I'm finally getting somewhere.
Thomas GATELY (born abt. 1860 in Ireland, s/o John GATELY and Mary) married
Winifred GLENNON (born Nov. 1862 in Ireland, d/o Timothy GLENNON and Nancy)
at St. Joseph's Church in Roxbury on March 15, 1883. They had two children
known children, Thomas J. born May 1883, and Patrick born Sept. 1887. The
1910 census states they had three children / two living.
The 1900 census lists Winifred as a widow, living with Thomas and Patrick at
49 Conant Street, Boston Township.
The 1910 census lists Winifred (widow) living with son Thomas at 50 Conant
Street, Boston City. Also living with Winifred were her three nieces,
Katherine CURLEY (Age 19), Mary CURLEY (Age 14) and Winifred CURLEY (Age 12).
The 1910 census lists Patrick GATELY living at 39 Conant Street with wife
Alice M. (SPENCER) and son Thomas J. (Age 0/12).
I've found several Winifred GATELY's but Patrick and Alice were married in
1910 and Patrick listed 50 Conant Street as his address. Also found a CURLEY
family in the 1900 census - possible family of the three nieces.
I'd love to find siblings of the first Thomas GATELY and of Winifred GLENNON,
plus any info or suggestions anyone might have. Thanks again for everyone's
help.
