Maybe i was lucky , but i sent for and recieved within a few weeks
(summer of 2000)
my ggrandfather AsaT McRae`s 8th Maine service record incl. wound care in
a Baltimore hospital .
Also Sgt.Stephen H.McRae`s (my dad) WW1 service record .
There was a different way of requesting each .
Am about to end for Asa`s pension record ....we`ll see for that one .
I heard that rates were since raised by nara...
