A span of 20 years is nothing if you concider starting at age 18, 20 years is
only 38. I have had spans of more than that, but only one birth after age 50
(FTM really points it out to you!). My 2 cents worth would be:
1) an error on the census for the mothers age (very posible, as my
motheri-in-law is listed as 5 years younger than she really was--she lied!)
2) Could this be a step-mother? Maybe the child was from the 1st marriage,
and dad married a little older the second time, instead of younger.
3) 59 is a little old to give birth, but not medically imposible
Well, that's my 2 cents (each one is worth 2/3 of a cent).
