Any good book on genealogical research will tell you to treat any case of a
woman past 50 having children with care. Although it has happened it is
unusual enough that it would be unlikely in our cases.

Therefore check all sources carefully. In my family I came across a woman of
55 having a child. On checking further My greatgrandfather remarried and
they adopted her grandchild.

So, while possible, extreme care is advised.
