I have been reading this mail for days. Have something similar/but different
Census. 1870
Rufus Tower 74. Annie 70 Sarah E.14
vs.
Frank Tower 37 Annie 35 Sarah E.14

same census / same town/ same neighborhood\ same enumerator.
Both Sarah's ( one is my grandmother) born the same day.
Found (Rufus' ) Sarah E.'s birth certificate but could not find (Frank's)
Sarah E.'s birth certificate. but did find Frank Tower's other children
birth certificates (that fit)

Could both the enumerator and midwife or town clerk make the same mistake 14
years apart.?

I thought the birth certicate (Rufus) was my grandmother till I saw the
census.
Then I really started to dig.
I'm sure NOW which one is my grandmother, but wonder how this happened.
Any ideas?????
