So good of you to offer look-ups...you'll undoubtedly be swamped! Would you
look up William Bassett who came on the Fortune in 1621. He was married to
an Elizabeth (possibly Tilden). Also his son, Nathaniel, who married (2)
Dorcas Joyce. Where did you get such a treasure? I'd love to get my hands

Charles Henry Pope's "Pioneers of Massachusetts" says this:
BASSET
William, specified as an Englishman, m at Leaden, Holland, Aug. 13,
1611, Margaret Oldham; having previously had a wife named Cecil Light. Came
to Plymouth in 1621. Freeman 1633. Res. at Duxbury; gunsmith; deputy. Res.
at Sandwich in 1650. Removed to Bridgewater. Wife Elizabeth and ch. William
and Elizabeth shared in the division of cattle in 1627. Sons Nathaniel B.
and Peregrine White had deed of land from him in 1656. Dau. Elizabeth m.
Nov. 8, 1648, Thomas Burgess of Sandwich.
He d. at Bridewater in 1667. Will dated 3 (2) probated 5 June, 1667,
beq. to wife Mary and sons William and Joseph

I got my copy of Pope's book (thick paperback) from HERITAGE BOOKS,
INC. 1540 Pointer Ridge Place, Bowie, Maryland 20716, (301) 390-7709.
They also have a web site that givs their 800 number. You can send
for a free catalog. The listings change frequently so if you don't fine
Pope's book in it, just ask them. I paid about $35 for it.
