I ordered my copy (paper back) of Charles Henry Pope's "Pioneers of
Massachusetts" from HERITAGE BOOKS, INC., 1540 Pointer Ridge Place, Bowie,
Maryland 20716, (301) 390-7709, Mine says it is a "Facsimile Reprint" &
was
published in 1991. Obviously the original was written a lot longer time
ago,
but I don't know when. Perhaps the nice folks at Heritage Books might know
the answer to your question about the original date of publication.
