Good morning,

My great-grandfather, William Robert KERR (b1852), migrated to Boston, MA,
around 1870 (around Age 18). He was the oldest of five children born
to Robert Kerr and Eliza(beth) (Henderson) Kerr. The younger children
were: Hannah Jane Kerr, b1854, Mary Kerr, b1857, Joseph Kerr, b1863, and
Robert Kerr, b1867.

**I am VERY interested to know whether it was just William Kerr who migrated
to Boston ... or did the entire family move down here. ... All I know so
far .. is that his parents, Robert and Elizabeth Kerr, died near Boston, MA,
in 1904 and 1902. .... I have no further information on the other
children, except for possible spouses' names for two of them.

Family history: Four KERR siblings left Ireland in 1825 and sailed to
Canada. They all settled in townships near Lakefield and LaChute in
Argenteuil County, Quebec Province. Three of the siblings were already
married with children, and the fourth married after she reached Canada.
Two of the siblings had already married into a HENDERSON family. They all
had large families, and basically all remained in the same area into the
early 1900's. (Connected to "The KERR Farm" which became a summer resort.)

In 1827, Patrick Kerr's son, Robert Kerr, was born in North Gore, and his
sister, Mary (Kerr) Henderson's daughter, Elizabeth Henderson, was born in
North Gore. In 1851, they were married in North Gore.

>From what I can tell these Kerr, Henderson, and MILLER families all remained
in Argenteuil County, Quebec Province, or moved to nearby towns in Ontario.
...... Except for my great-great-grandparents.

Have a good weekend, Betty

(near Lowell, MA, USA)

P.S. William KERR met Elizabeth HANNAH in Boston. They married around
1876, and had six children. (She was from Glasgow, Scotland.)
