Hallo everyone, I'm Welsh by birth and presently
living in Tasmania, Australia. I'm looking for
relatives Albert and Dorothy Saunders who left south
Wales, probably Aberavon(now Port Talbot), Glamorgan
in about 1920-30 for Springfield. Albert worked as a
lecturer in radio technology at the Massachusetts
Technology College. He also wrote for a radio magazine
but I don't know which title. Dorothy was the daughter
of Benjamin and Agnes James. Other siblings were Fred,
Agnes and Alice. Dorothy and Albert had at least one
daughter. My uncle, Ron James, was due to meet the
family in New York during World War Two but the
meeting never took place for whatever reason. Ron was
with the RN, his ship was trapped in the Bahamas by
the German blockade of the US and eventually the ship
travelled through the Delaware-Chesterfield Canal -
East River- Cape Cod Canal to the north Atlantic and
hence back to England. It's a long shot but I hope
someone who knows the family might see this and get in
touch. diolch yn fawr, Luned in Tasmania
