Hello Listers. I continue to search to learn what happened to my Uncle
Matti Ojala. Born Mar 7, 1897 in Haapajarvi he came to Gloucester area
1914. The last I found him was on the 1920 Essex Co. (Amesbury)
census. He was a non English speaking boarder in a Finnish "Jasberg"
household (Haverhill Rd.). He was not a citizen. He had employment as
a sheetworker in an auto factory. From here he vanishes! In Finland
they can only tell us he died "unmarried in Am. 1925" but then they go
on to indicate it was 1931 when Finland Parish was notified of his
death. We are uncomfortable with the 1925 date..... but have nothing
else to go on. Have paid MA., ME., & N.H. Vital Records to search for
his death; all unsuccessful. We want badly to know where/when/how he
died and esp. where he is buried. He was my Uncle. Does anyone have
any suggestions? Thank you, Raynold Brooks
