Thanks to all who answered my inquiry on the occupation speed tender. This one appears to be what I was looking for.

A speeder tender is " One who operates a speeder or fly frame". A speeder is "A machine used in yarn manufacturing, particularly in the cotton system(generally a second intermediate roving machine) which inserts a slight amount of twist in the sliver and winds it on bobbins at which point the stock is termed "roving".
