After much research, I located the burial place of my baby brother, Richard
Tyler Holmes in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Mattapan MA.
He is buried with John William Carson who died September 28, 1894. Apparently
John and Richard are the only occupants of that plot. The owner of the plot
is William Carson, apparently my ggrandfather, who died in 1946 and is buried
across the street at Forest Hills Cemetery.
The only information held by the cemetery is John's date of death and name.
Might his name ring a bell with anyone....e.g. who John's parents might be,
or what funeral homes operated in the area in 1894.
I know this is a long shot, but I'm unclear what else to do.
