Here's something that I posted to the Rhode Island list, in case anyone is
subscribed to both and the post looks familiar. My dad's Caswell family
lived in Attleboro, North Attleboro, MA as well as Providence, R.I.

Hi Everybody,

There just may be the slightest chink opening up in my Narragansett brick
wall. My Caswell Uncle used to remind us that we were part Narragansett
Indian, but wasn't specific. Well, I've just heard from a newly found
second cousin that our great great grandmother, Sarah Macomber, may have been
full-blooded Indian. There is a picture of her, and also a picture of
someone who "looks like her" identified as "Grandmother Hathaway." I'm going
out really far on a limb and guessing that Sarah Macomber's maiden name was
Hathaway and that the second picture is her mother, and that she is my Native
American connection. Any takers on that?

Do I see light on the other side of the brick wall? How about a faint
glimmer?
