You are asking an almost impossible question. TAG is definitely one of the
best, others are the New England Historical and Genealogical Record, The
National Genealogical Society magazine and the New York Historical and
Genealogical Society magazine. All have been in existance for many years
and are loaded with excellent articles. I am touching only the tip of the
iceberg as there are many other fine magazines specializing on genealogical
research.

An answer is to visit a good genealogy library and use their holdings of
magazines for research and save your money for the growing number of
excellent CDs on vital records. If your research is primarily in New
England then you might consider joining the New England Historical and
Genealogical Society and use their excellent on line resources and/or buy
the great set of CDs on their magazine. Chuck Johnson at Fort Wayne at the
ACPL library that has all of these magazines on file!
