My husband has a great Grandmother named Margaret O'Reiley. She came from
Ireland circa 1849. The family knew she was an orphan. They knew her sailing
brothers thought the best thing for her was a move to America.   She came
about 1849. Her name is very common, so port entries have proved difficult to
sort. I'm now looking for her naturalization records. She lived in New
Bedford of Bristol County. I learned just today that Naturalization records
have been pulled into Boston. Is there anyone out there that can confirm and
give me (in Florida) any insight into retrieving those records before I make
a long journey north? If she had already married Henry C. Pearce when she
applied for Citizenship, which surname would she have used?
