I have rec'd much help in the past on the Cody family. I got side tracked with another branch, but would like to begin again. I thank the people who have helped me already on this matter (don't want to mention name's).I'd like to ask a few questions in hopes someone might have answers.
Four children from the Cody family were put in The Home for destitute Catholic Children.Although they all lived origianaly in Boston with thier parents, they were all placed (I think in Homes) in Waterbury, Conn. Rc'd by Rev. T.F. Shelby in 1908. The two boys were placed at an address and returned sometimes days, or weeks later the two girls were "returned" both in 1918. After this only records on one girl (my grandmother) who was sent to St. Roses Technical School in Washington,DC, then to the House of good Shepard, Brookline MA. Can anyone explain why this was worked this way? None of these four were ever adopted, just moved around alot. Can anyone tell me about the School or House of Good Shepard, Alot to ask, but any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
