since I see you've been answered on the immediate question
of the founding date for Salisbury MA, and since we've all figured
that the Salisbury referenced for the birthplace for William Allen
must be Salisbury in England, will you give us more information
on the gentleman? there may be other descendants or collateral
relatives of his on the list ...

anyone else want to comment on why we often find the same
births and/or marriages in the vital records in both Eastham
and Orleans, or Eastham and Berwick or Kittery Maine,
just for example ? or why we find birth and marriage dates
in vital records that predate the founding of the town that
holds those records ...
