That's all that Pope says. There's no listing for a Caleb More, so I
don't know who he was. >>


Caleb More bp 1644, was the son of Mayflower passenger Richard More and
Christian Hunter. Richard was illegitimate, a bigamist, convicted of gross
unchastity with another man's wife at age 74. He did not fit in well at Plymouth
and ended up with a tavern in Salem. It is interesting that he could vouch for
anyone's good character, and equally interesting he survived the witch
accusations.
