Hi There,
I am a native Vermonter in exile and a lot of my ancestors are from New
England. Right now I have a lot of relatives in Connecticut, Vermont, New
Hampshire, Maine and especially Massachusetts battling the New England
Storms. A lot of my ancestors are from Massachusetts, and Connecticut. I
have a few family lines in the state of New York. I can remember the
Vermont winters while growing up, and a lot of times we had snow that was as
piled as high as my fathers shoulders. Sometimes when the snow hardened and
iced over we would slide on pieces of linoleum down the hills in the field
and jump off just before we hit the stone wall. I am researching the family
lines in New England of Jones,Burnham, Griswold, Davis, Gale, Lasell, Gates,
and in New York the Recor and Ashline families who migrated to Vermont. I
am also researching my husbands lines of the Combs, Gulletts, Conleys,
Fugates, Grigsby, Bolen, Ritchie in the state of Kentucky. Anyway I feel
for those folks up there in Massachusetts, especially Provincetown.
Hopefully Spring will come early this year.
Sincerely,
Barb and Hack Combs
