I have found some articles on line from Godfrey Memorial Library, Early American Newspapers concerning the partnership of Matthew Adams and Joseph Parsons in 1734-35 relating to the break up of their partnership.
It refers to the Company's Ship Chandlery Stock and Warehouse Leather Stock. I would like to find out the name of the company and to know what Ship Chandlery Stock would consist of.
From the articles, I have gathered that there must have been a disagreement between the two men.
I would also like to know if there would be a way to find where Matthew Adams was living in Boston in 1735 and any information on him and the company in question.
I descend from Matthew Adams in the following way.
Matthew Adams & Katherine Brigden
Nathaniel Adams & Elizabeth Parker
Anne Adams and Joseph Hall (Sheriff of Suffolk Co and then Judge of Probate Suffolk Co)
Joseph Hall and Maria Bartlett (d/o Thomas Bartlett and Alice Fitzpatrick Wyer)
Joseph Adams Hall and Margaret Indiana Caswell (d/o Daniel J Caswell & Mary Bankhead Wilson)
Maria Bartlett Hall and William F Fortenberry (these are my great grandparents)
Thank you
Delores
