Thank you very much Lorine. My Chandlers are of the line from William
and Annis who came to Roxbury in 1637, however along the way they went
to Quebec and after a couple of generations came back, eventually to
Boston. They came back across the border during "uncovered" period
we're talking about (probably a good many times as the property line of
the farm WAS the border). I had not been able to find information about
their movements, but what you have explained here is very helpful.
Considering the number of queries there have been recently concerning
people from Canada I'm sure that what you've provided will be of
interest to many of us.
