I guess I left something out of my original message--below
My ancestors gave birth to a child in Canada. Where, I don't know.
What I'm trying to find, is where this couple came from in Co. Cork,
Ireland. Most of my Irish ancestors were too early to be listed in Irish
VRs.
The couple is buried at the Old Catholic Cemetery, Cambridge, Mass. On a
trip to Boston, I stopped by the cemetery and it was unattended. I knew the
location of the graves, but there was no way I could find them.
Sometimes the Irish had their home parishes on their markers, if they indeed
could afford a marker. One of my ancestors, buried at Mt. Auburn, Cambridge,
had this information on his marker.
I have Mass. ancestry back into the 1620s and my goal for all my ancestors
is to find where they originated from, if they were foreign-born.
thanks, Charles
