As an active member of the DAR, I don't remember anyone ever promoting any
particular individual, except for patriotism and duty to your country.
I love genealogy and I love my country. Having lived in other countries as a
young teen, I appreciate the quality of life and freedom we have here. I
also know that any administration in office isn't perfect and all have their
positive and negative traits. This country is flawed and I wouldn't live
anywhere else. We have the freedom to disagree, complain, whine, and walk
away in disgust, and no one is going to spirit us away in the middle of the
night, never to be seen again....I prefer to facilitate change from within,
as I have found that extremism alienates more people than it attracts.
