I was born in CT but left in early childhood. I have lived in FL, SC and TN most of my life and I'm familiar with the practices of those states.

I have had ancestors in the Boston area in the 1600s through recent times.

My Boston area ancestry runs from the "haves" to the "have nots."

I have never seen an obituary or a death notice for anyone in the Boston area. What does it take to get an obit in a Boston area newspaper? What is the content?

Here in the Southeast U.S., usually the format is parentage, relatives, work, military, Church and organization history, etc.
