Hi again,

I should have let my mind "try to remember" a few minutes longer. I
think the roadway I was thinking of was the "Old Boston Post Road."

Also, I went to www.abebooks.com and found this book mentioned.

If it wasn't for the $70 price tag, it sounds like a very interesting book
to read !

I think I'll go to the Library's web site. Other books on similar
subjects can be found by searching for "stagecoach routes" in early New
England !

I know there were several "stagecoach stops" (taverns) in the history of
Billerica, but I have not yet found out where they were in Chelmsford.

(I'm still trying to find out about the "abandoned RR tracks" in Chelmsford
which heads towards Westford.)
