At a standstill! Can someone help?

Looking for Alden MASON b. Nov 30, 1805 Swanzey BRISTOL Co MA d. Apr 16, 1883 in DeRuyter MADISON Co NY; m. Rhoda DUNBAR b. May 6, 1810 d. Apr 14, 1858 Palermo, OSWEGO CO NY, marr. d. u/k; son was James b. Aug 1848 (my gr-grandfather). Other children were George b. 1833; John, 1839; Charles E, 1846; and Helen b. 1854. Can find no references to Alden other than the census of 1850 to 1880. Are there any MASONs out there w/add'l information?

Also, trying to i.d. Alden as a son/nephew of Isaac MASON. There are several in the NY area. Is there anything in a local hx which might have these names indexed?
