Terri, you can search for DNA databases. If you have one particular line,
check to see if they have an Association that can give you clues or leads.
For example, in my particular line, there have been found to be at least 4
branches. In another line, the DNA proved to be the same when we questioned a
name change and the DNA proved that both names were from the same common
ancestor. It will not, however, prove any direct lineage, for example an uncle
or great uncle would have the same DNA but are not a direct as the father or
