In the VR of Oxford, there is mention of Country Gore and I am interested in finding the current area this refers to.

The VR entry is: MERIAM, Ebenezer and Phebe Lock, both of the Country Gore, int. April _, 1752.

I have searched the surrounding towns without finding these folks. Any help would be appreciated.
