I have a copy of the land grant to my English great grandfather in NB. My
great grandmother was Acadian. Both were born in Maine and I can't seem to
figure out how an American would receive a land grant. I would love to know
if they gave up their American citizenship for Canadian. I am ready to
visit my father's cousin in NB. He was born there. The last time I visited
was on 9-11. I never thought of Canada as being a foreign country. It will
be very different crossing the border this time.
I am headed for St. John and the Bay of Fundy July 3rd. I can't wait. :-)
