Hello Darlene,
I wonder if I could ask for a lookup for a Benjamin Bailey born Boston, MA
possibly one of two dates - June 5, 1827 or 1826. He left Boston for the
California goldfields March 1, 1849 travelling aboard the ship "Sweden." He
is listed on the ships list as being from Boston and working as a clerk.
I have no family information, no names for parents or siblings. This has
been a family brick wall for over 30 years.
Thanks so much for extending this offer to the group, it is greatly
appreciated.
Elizabeth
Here's crossing my fingers you find something!
