Capt. Samuel Trask, a farmer, went from Salem, Mass., and married January 6,
1757, Anna Bond, b. at
Weston, Mass., Nov 9, 1731, dau. of Josiah Bond and his wife, Elizabeth
Fuller (see p.52-53 - Bond's
Watertown) She was his 2nd wife. They settled in the North Parish of Sutton
(Millbury), Mass., where
he died March 7, 1790, aged 70 yrs. She died July, 1775. Their children:
1. Susanna Trask b. Oct 11, 1759 m. July 10, 1783, Col. Jonathan Holman of
Millbury, Mass.; who was a
Lieutenant in the French war; was a Colonel and commanded a regiment in the
battle of White Plains - was
distinguished for his bravery and activity. His children by Susanna Trask:
1. Susan Holman b. Feb 22, 1784; m. Asa Waters, Esq.

Asa Waters of Millbury, Mass., for many years a Justice of the Peace and
Representative of that town
in the State Legislature; was proprietor of the Armory at Millbury and thanks
to his enterprise, the
village itself owes its origin. He was a man of great mechanical genius. He
married Susan Holman on May
19, 1802. He d. Dec 24, 1841, aged 72 years. (eight children listed pp.
84-85).
2. Luther Holman b. Oct. 1785; died 1806, unmarried.
3. Nancy Holman b. July 14, 1792; m. Capt. Charles Hale on Nov. 28,
1816 by whom she had:
1. John H. Hale b. Aug 31, 1817; a merchant of Louisville, KY. Unmarried.
2. Charles E. Hale b. Mar 25, 1819; res. at Boston, Mass.
3. Luther H. Hale b. Sept 20, 1821.
4. a child born; died in infancy.
5. a child born; died in infancy.
2. Anna Trask b. Mar 19, 1762; died April 18, 1832; m. Dec 27, 1781, Elijah
Torrey.
3. David Trask b. June 1, 1764; died Dec. 26, 1831; m. Feb. 7, 1788,
Mehitabel Dwight & (2) Mrs. Polly
Cooley & m. (3) Mrs. Abigail Harrington.
4. Jonathan Trask b. June 21, 1767; died Apr 26, 1841; m. May 6, 1792, Phebe
Waters.
5. Amos Trask b. Aug 1, 1769; died Nov 14, 1821. m. Apr. 19, 1795, Lucy
Parke.
6. Peter Trask b. Apr 8, 1773; died Oct 7, 1803. He m. Oct 31, 1799 Azubah
Leland.

Anna Trask m. Dec 27, 1781, Elijah Torrey of Thompson, Conn. They settled at
Woodstock, CT. He died
Feb 6, 1833. Children of Elijah Torrey & Anna Trask:
1. Nancy Torrey b. Sept 17, 1782 m. Jonathan Waters.
2. Elijah Torrey b. Oct 3, 1784; m. Arethusa Hale of Charlton. He was a
merchant at Ithica, N.Y.; He
died leaving sons Edward Torrey, William Torrey who died 1840; Elijah Torrey
and two daughters.
3. Luther Torrey b. Dec 14, 1786; died Sept 17, 1806.
4. Joseph Torrey b. Mar 25, 1789; m. Jan 17, 1828, Abigail Sibley. They had
3 daughters. He was a
ruling elder at Millbury; then removed to Springfield, Illinois.
5. Susan Torrey b. June 10, 1792; died Feb 21, 1804.
6. Perley Torrey b. Sept 10, 1794; died Sept 18, 1800.
7. Alfred Torrey b. Aug 9, 1797; m. Nov. 1821, Fanny Thurston of Oxford,
Mass., and had one son b. 1822.
8. Eliza Torrey b. Feb. 9, 1801 died May 29, 1824, unmarried.
9. Perley Torrey (again) b. Feb 18, 1803; unmarried.

Capt. David Trask, a farmer of Leicester, m. Feb 7, 1788, Mehitable Dwight.
She died July 13, 1801 and he
m. (2) Dec. 28, 1802, Mrs. Polly Cooley of Brookfield. She died Nov 16, 1807
and he m. (3) Dec 5, 1808,
Mrs. Abigail Harrington of Grafton. Children:
1. Anna Bond Trask b. Nov 7, 1790; m. John Wood.
2. Mehitable Dwight Trask, b. Dec 1, 1794; m. Samuel Hurd.
3. Mary W. Trask, b. Nov 11, 1803; m. May 12, 1825, Baylies Upham a
manufacturer, of Leicester, Mass.
4. James P. Trask b. July 25, 1809; m. May 19, 1835, Laura A. Watson of
Leicester. Children:
1. Joseph M. Trask b. Oct 9, 1837.
2. Frederick J. Trask b. Dec 8, 1839.
3. Edwin W. Trask b. Apr. 24, 1843.
5. Abby G. Trask, b. Nov 28, 1812; m. May 19, 1836, Joseph Mason of Grafton,
Mass.
6. Adeline A. Trask b. Dec 26, 1815; m. Sept 8, 1840, Delphos Washburn, a
merchant of Leicester.
7. Jane S. Trask b. Aug 13, 1819; m. Oct 18, 1842; D. Edwin Merriam of
Boston.
8. Frances M. Trask b. July 25, 1823. Unmarried.

Lieut. Jonathan Trask was distinguished for his bold and original thoughts,
and for his fervent
and active piety. He m. May 6, 1792, Phebe Waters of Millbury. She died Feb
16, 1839. Children:
1. Almira Trask b. Oct 9, 1795; m. October, 1816 Capt. Joseph Griggs, a
tanner of Millbury. She
died Apr 1, 1841 leaving three children:
1. Mary Griggs.
2. Almira Griggs
3. Joseph Griggs.
This family occupied the place where Samuel Trask, her grandfather, lived
and died.
2. Ira Trask b. 1797; m. May 2, 1822, Hannah Thurston of Oxford. He died
soon after marriage.
Major Amos Trask who m. April 19, 1795, Lucy Parke b. Aug 27, 1771, dau. of
Moses Parke of Sutton.
Immediately after marriage they removed to Dixfield, Maine, where he died
Nov. 14, 1821, greatly
respected and loved. Children:
1. Lucina Trask b. May 2, 1796; m. Dr. Joseph K. White.
2. Leonard Trask b. Dec 16, 1798; died.
3. Lucy Trask b. Dec 16, 1800; m. Silas Barnard.
4. Peter Trask b. Nov 13, 1803.
5. Anna Trask b. Oct 18, 1805; m. John M. Eustis.
6. Louisa Trask b. May 1, 1808; died April 9, 1845; m. C. T. Chase.
7. Susan Trask b. Nov 11, 1809; m. Isaac N. Stanley.
Peter Trask, a scythe manufacturer of Millbury, Mass., m. Oct 31, 1799,
Azubah Leland. Children:
1. Julia Trask b. 1802; m. May, 1824, Emery Bond of Millbury, Mass.
2. Susan Trask b. February 1804; m. Dr. Jason C. Spaulding - M.D., Dartmouth
Coll. 1828 - of Sharon,
Vermont and had children:
1. Jason Spaulding.
2. Juliam Spaulding who died.
3. Helen Trask Spaulding.
4. Edward Leland Spaulding.
5. George Spaulding.
