I also bought Bridgman's "Memorials of the Dead in Boston; Containing Exact

Biographical Notices of Many of the Early Settlers of the Metropolis of New
England," which was published in 1853 by Benjamin B. Mussey & Co., No. 29
Cornhill. It was dedicated to Robert Charles Winthrop, and an endorsement
by the then-rector of King's Chapel, Ephraim Peabody:



"I have been acquainted with the labors of Mr. Bridgman, and after some
examination of the accompanying work, I am able to recommend it to those
interested, as containing a correct and thorough account of the monuments in
King's Chapel Burying-ground."

Signed Ephraim Peabody, Jan 20, 1853.



There are also engravings, coats of arms, etc.



The book opens with a poem entitled "King's Chapel Burial-Ground" by L.H.
Segourney of Hartford, with the opening lines,

"Turn to you ancient tombs; for he is there,

Who sweeps the moss from their gray lips, and brings

Their prisoned words, letter by letter, forth

Through rust of ages, to the eye again, --

New England's Old Mortality."



It then goes on with mentions of red Indians, seers, sages, etc.



I am willing to do lookups in this book if anybody requests it. Don't have
time to transcribe it.
