Sharon,
I know my ggrandmother, with some siblings & possibly her mother, came to
Rochester, NY probably in the late 1880's. I was told that to slip across
the border [I don't the restrictions at that time], she came on the Coburg
Ferry - it carried coal & passengers between Coburg, Canada & Rochester. The
last trace of my ggrandfather is in the 1901 census in Ont.
