Subject: [GENMASSACHUSETTS] New Bedford Orphan Asylum

Good Evening listers

Trying to find out if anyone has any information on the New Bedford Orphan
Asylum. I have no idea what the name what name it might have had, but I know
the Matron there in 1880 was Celia Brett, and the asst. matron was her
sister in law Eliza A. Brett.
Celia was born in New Bedford in 1815 and Eliza was born in NH in 1821, but
I have no maiden name for her.

I have scoured on line without any success, except on Ancestry to which I do
not belong.

Any and all information will be greatly appreciated.
