Hello,

While doing a look-up in the KIDDER book, I came across the mention of this
Charles KIDDER, who seems to have moved around a little ! Note that his
first child was born in "Peru" on-board ship !


763 CHARLES HENRY KIDDER (Richard, Benjamin, Richard, Richard, Ephraim,
James), born at Dresden, Lincoln Co., Me., 9 Nov. 1848; died at Boston,
Mass., 18 Jan. 1898. He married first, at New Haven, Conn., 18 May 1878,
NELLIE M. DUNBAR of that city, born about 1857; died at Plainfield, N. J., 7
Jan. 1884, daughter of Rev. M. Dunbar of New Haven; and secondly, at
Waltham, Mass., 2 Oct. 1886, SARAH LUCY GIBSON, born at Provincetown, Mass.,
about 1859, daughter of Aaron and Bertha Gibson.

He was a sea captain, at one time commanding the ship "Jamestown." He made
his home first at Richmond, Sagadahoc Co., Me., and later at East Boston,
Mass.

Children by first wife:

i. WILLIAM HOPKINS, b. in Callao Harbor, Peru, on board the American ship
"Jamestown," 10

May 1879.

ii. GRACE BROWNING, b. at Richmond, Me., 26 June 1880.

iii. CHARLES WASHINGTON, b. at Richmond, 22 Feb. 1882.

Children by second wife, born at Boston:

iv. JOSEPH COLLINS, b. 30 Aug. 1887.

v. NELLIE, b. 23 May 1889; d. there 28 May 1889.

vi. EFFIE FRANCES, b. 9 July 1892.

vii. PEARL, b. 9 Sept. 1896; d. there 21 Sept. 1896.
