There are several places you can try, if you haven't already.
If you know what Religion she was raised as you can try that church,
otherwise try all of the churches in the area. If the Church isn't there any
more, many churches have maine offices where the church records have been
sent to. You can get information from City hall as to what the churches were
during certain time periods. At least you seem to have the year. That helps.
If there is no birth certificate the churches often have at least a
baptisamal record and if that is the case you can figure that the person was
born 3-5 days befor the baptism. Also, check with the libraries and
historical societies, they may have city and county records and some towns
even have old hospital birth record. There is also the health department,
you can check with them.
I hope this helps a little. I'm no expert and perhaps someone has more
information.
