On page 626 of Torrey's "New England Marriages Prior to 1700" page 626--

There are two entries for a John Ripley--both are my ancestors, John
Ripley married Elizabeth Hobart at Hingham, Mass.

My interest is John Ripley and wife Jane surname unknown. Marriage took
place at Hingham, Mass. 13 Oct. 1686.

Torrey has Jane as possibly Whitmarsh of Weymouth. I have tried to check
and confirm the possibility that she was a Whitmarsh.

Clarence Almon Torrey had to have seen something that pointed to Jane's
surname. I have the hard copy of the book and it's my understanding the CD
has Torrey's sources. Can anyone offer any assistance?
