Your researcher is undoubtedly correct. Between 1832 and 1844 Reuben
Hersey abstracted the Hingham VRs from the Town Books. His manuscript
shows the son of Hezekiah and Sarah, born 20-Nov-1729, as "Samuel."
Hersey, through his years of work with those books, must have become
quite adept at deciphering the Clerks' hands.
