Hello. I just wanted to offer an FYI that there is a Parmenter School (grammar school) in Arlington, MA.

I don't know who it was named after; the Historical Society probably has the information.

The 1900 census has a Judge William PARMENTER, 94, living in Arlington with his son. I'm not finding the name in Arlington in 1910, but the 1920 census has an Eliza PARMENTER, 71, in Arlington.

Perhaps the school was named after Judge PARMENTER.

Betty (near Lowell, MA)
