Eva is usually an accepted nickname for the name Yvonne. I would bet that Phyllis Yvonne Souza's mother, your great grandmother's name was Yvonne Souza. How does the name Alice Duff fit in? Did Yvonne remarry into the Duff family? What towns in Massachusetts did the Souza family live in before they moved to Texas? Do you know where William Frank Barnett was born or lived? Do you have an obituary from Phyllis Yvonne Souza's death in Smith County Texas? That should give you the names of her parents and where they were from in Massachusetts. Hope this helps.
