Regarding the Scottish Census...
It dawned on me after I posted, that the son is named Michael and not Frank. I suspect his real name may have been something like Michael Francis, but it may also be the wrong family. So be sure to keep an open mind on it.

(I had found an immigration record for a Pat, Bessie and son Michael in 1892 with the right ages, but it listed them as Irish.)

Also in Scotland, I did find a record for an Elizabeth Nolan in 1881 of the right age, but the birth information is different than 1891. I'm not familiar enough with Scottish towns and parishes to assume that it is the same location. She was the only Elizabeth Nolan that was found.
